NURSERY WORKERS AND MUSICIANS NEEDED

We are looking for nursery workers to commit to one Sunday a month.  Do you love babies, or just need your "baby fix?"  If the answer is yes, consider trying out nursery volunteering!  Re-evaluate after a few months and see if it's something you'd like to continue to do.

We are also seeking musicians who would love to use their gifts to worship the Lord.  If this opportunity interests you at all, please contact the church office.

Here at North Shore, we care about getting you plugged in!  Consider using your gifts in one of these valuable ministries.

GUYS NIGHT OUT RESUMES THIS WEEK!

Men, mark your calendars to come join us this Thursday, March 3rd from 5:00-6:30 pm for some fun and fellowship.  This will be a potluck held at church, so bring your favorite dish to pass.  There will be a devotion with games to follow.

FITNESS CLASSES CANCELLED THIS WEEK

Kristine Aretz, who teaches Zumba, TRX, Core Conditioning, and Senior Stretch, will be on vacation February 28th-March 5th.  Classes will resume on Monday, March 7th.

Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step program meeting Thursday nights at 6:30 pm (large group) 7:30 pm (optional small group) that helps those who struggle with habits such as alcoholism, divorce, abuses of all kinds, co-dependency, domestic violence, rage, drug addiction, mental health, sexual addiction, food addictions, physical struggles or disease, death of a loved one and more. As we grow spiritually and we are freed from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits we develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and others.

If you have crafty skills that you would like to use as an outreach to our local community, Creator’s Hands would love for you to join them this Tuesday, March 1st from 6:00-8:00 pm in the downstairs dining room.

NORTH SHORE PRAYER GATHERINGS

We'd like to challenge everyone to attend at least one prayer gathering during the season of Lent, which is now upon us. It's a great opportunity to connect with other believers, and help unify our church body. Consider that the same Holy Spirit who dwells within each believer causes our hearts to rejoice as we hear praises to our Lord and Savior, knitting us together in a unique bond of fellowship found nowhere else in life.

We have a few different opportunities for you to participate.

1. Every Wednesday night, there is a prayer group that meets at 5:30 pm in the library. This is perfect for those attending Shore activities, to come a bit earlier than the 6:30 start time. Join us this Wednesday, February 24th.
2. Ladies, there is a special prayer hour just for you! Come on Thursdays at 12:00 pm. This group also meets in the library. We'd love to see you this Thursday, February 25th.

Kristine Aretz, who teaches the TRX and Zumba courses here at North Shore, is offering two new classes on Wednesday mornings. At 8:30 am, there will be a Core Conditioning class, and at 9:30 am, there will be a Senior Stretch class (though it's not limited to seniors!) Come have some fun and try out a new class this coming Wednesday, February 24th.

WEDNESDAYS @ THE SHORE

We invite you and your family to come check out Wednesday’s @ the Shore this Wednesday, February 17th. We provide an atmosphere for your children to have a great time, learn who Jesus is, and be impacted by the love of adults. The classes available are:

ZUMBA!

Zumba classes are offered at North Shore on Monday and Wednesday nights at 5:00 pm. A FREE Saturday morning Zumba class takes place every week at 8:30 am. Come join the fun, and bring a friend!

MOM'S NIGHT OUT -- FREEZER MEAL WORKSHOP

Moms, come join us for a freezer meal workshop on Friday, February 19th at 6:00 pm.  Libby Johnson will be showing us how to make Thai Peanut Chicken, Maui Grilled Chicken, and Breakfast Burritos.  Additional heritage techniques (learning how to make your own pantry items instead of having to buy them) will be shown according to time and class size.  The cost is $14, and you must sign up and pay ahead of time.  Don't delay!  There are only 15 spaces available for this wonderful event!

NCD FOCUS GROUPS

We recently received our results from the NCD survey. As part of our efforts to improve our areas of weakness, focus groups (8-10 people) are being organized to answer this question: “Why do you think we scored lowest in gift-based ministry?” Each group should take no longer than an hour. We greatly value your input! Sign up sheets will be passed around during the service on Sunday. If none of the given times work but you are interested in participating, please let us know when you are available.  

The first focus group will take place this coming Sunday, February 7th at 9:00 am in lieu of Sunday School.
