EXERCISE CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGES

TRX will not be held  Tuesday, August 30th, and Zumba will not be held Wednesday, August 31st.  Classes resume as normal on Friday, September 2nd.

MISSIONARY VISIT THIS SUNDAY

Join us this Sunday, August 28th as we welcome supported missionary Jane Fischer to speak at our 9:00 Sunday School hour, as well as during our service. Hors d'oeuvres will be served after the service, so stick around and enjoy, and visit with Jane. We hope to see you!

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step program meeting Thursday nights at 6:30 pm (large group) & 7:30 pm (optional small group) that helps those who struggle with habits such as alcoholism, divorce, abuses of all kinds, co-dependency, domestic violence, rage, drug addiction, mental health, sexual addiction, food addictions, physical struggles or disease, death of a loved one and more. As we grow spiritually and we are freed from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits we develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and others.

MOPS FAMILY FUN NIGHT

MOPS is hosting a Family Fun Night this Thursday, August 25th at 6:30 pm. Kids will be able to learn about nocturnal animals, have snacks, do crafts, enjoy a bounce house, and have a great evening! A movie will be shown at 8:00 pm, so bring your blankets and lawn chairs. This will be a great family event, so we hope to see you there!

PRAYER WALKING THIS WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24TH

In lieu of our normal Wednesday night prayer meeting, we are taking prayer to the streets of our community next Wednesday, August 24th at 5:30 pm. If you are interested in prayer walking, please come join us!

LEMONADE AND BAKE SALE THIS SUNDAY, AUGUST 21ST

Kids, you are invited to come serve at our lemonade stand & bake sale before and after the service this Sunday, August 21st. The proceeds of this sale will go to the Chande Farm Project, which will help buy goats and chickens for the Curtis family, a missionary family raising support to move to Zambia, Africa. They visited our church earlier this year. If you can help at this sale by bringing a baked good or by serving, please contact the church office at office@nshorechurch.org.

MEN'S PRAYER AND FELLOWSHIP GATHERING

Men, join us on Saturday, August 20th from 8:00-9:00 am for a prayer and fellowship gathering. We will be meeting in the library. Hope to see you there!

LEMONADE STAND NEXT SUNDAY, AUGUST 21ST

FAITH IN ACTION WEEK

Faith in Action week starts this Sunday, August 14th, and goes until Thursday, August 18th!   Want to get involved? We will be completing service projects nightly, around our community and for our neighbors.  We will also be hosting VBS and sharing the good news of Jesus with the kids of our community.  Both are wonderful connection and serving opportunities, and we hope you can join us!  

A nightly meal will also be offered for all volunteers at 5:00 pm.  If you want to get involved in serving, please contact the church office and we will get you connected!

PATIO PROJECT THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 13TH

NSC is getting a face lift!  As you may have seen, the front bushes have been pulled out to make room for a new patio out front.  This is part of our vision for bringing our church outside and into the community.  This coming Saturday, August 13th at 8:00 am, we will be laying pavers for the new patio, and could use some help!  If you could help us with this project, let the church office know.

Join us THIS Sunday, August 14th for our annual church picnic, followed by our baptism service at Henes Park! We will be serving pulled pork, corn on the cob, and ice cream. The Ultimate gathering and Ultimate after party will still happen this Sunday, August 7th.  However, instead of meeting at Marina Park, we will be meeting at Menominee High School.  Both events will be cancelled next Sunday, August 14th for the start of Faith in Action Week.  Hope to see you there!

ABUNDANT LIFE MISSIONS VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Abundant Life Mission is in need of volunteers for helping on evenings, nights and weekends.  They are also looking for volunteers in the office (knowledge of quick books would be helpful). If this is an opportunity that interests you, please contact the church office.

WATERFRONT SERVICE THIS SUNDAY

Our annual church service for Menominee’s Waterfront Festival will take place at 10 am this Sunday, August 7th at the band shell. This is a great service, with a wonderful opportunity for outreach in our community. Prayerfully consider who you could invite to join us. Bring a lawn chair, and in the case of inclement weather, meet at the church. We hope to see you there!
