Serving others is a lot of fun, and it's a great way to get to know others and grow in your love of the Lord. We have a lot of opportunities that we'd love to help you explore, in order to use the gifts and the passions He's given you to serve. We currently have a big need for childcare helpers and teachers, and are asking that you prayerfully consider the following opportunities:

ABUNDANT LIFE CHURCH DEDICATION & MISSION OPEN HOUSE

Abundant Life Church will be having its dedication on Sunday, October 9th at 10:00 am, with an open house to follow in the afternoon from 1:00-5:00 pm.  There will also be a presentation at 4:00 pm.  Come support this local ministry and enjoy a fun afternoon, complete with a bake sale, raffles, and more!  Bring friends!  Abundant's Life address:1406 10th Avenue, Menominee.

Want to have fun raising responsible kids? Want your kids prepared for the real world? Join us for a 4-session Love and Logic Parenting Course starting October 5th from 6:00—8:00 pm. L & L is a philosophy of raising and teaching children that allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in their interactions with children. Class cost is $10 for the workbook. FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
As we have just finished our series on living generously, we are re-offering Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace course to teach us how to better manage our finances and get out of debt, so we can joyfully increase our generosity. This 9-week course starts on Wednesday, October 5th from 6:00-7:30 pm. The course cost is $95, but scholarships are available! To sign up, please contact the church office.

CREATOR'S HANDS

If you have crafty skills that you would like to use as an outreach to our local community or don't have any but would like to learn, Creator’s Hands would love for you to join them this Tuesday, October 4th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the downstairs dining room.

THE GOSPEL PROJECT

We are so excited to launch our new children's program "The Gospel Project," this Sunday, October 2nd.  Kids, ages 4k-5th grade, come join us at 9:00 am for this wonderful new program.  You won't want to miss it!

For those of you who wish to get involved with this program, but missed our "investor" training on the 18th, we will be re-offering it this Sunday at 9:00 am, during the kick off in the youth room.  This is a great chance to see the layout of the new program and get to ask any questions you may have. Please make it if you can! 

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step program meeting Thursday nights at 6:30 pm (large group) & 7:30 pm (optional small group) that helps those who struggle with habits such as alcoholism, divorce, abuses of all kinds, co-dependency, domestic violence, rage, drug addiction, mental health, sexual addiction, food addictions, physical struggles or disease, death of a loved one and more. As we grow spiritually and we are freed from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits we develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and others.

THE GOSPEL PROJECT

Our new children's program will kick off on Sunday, October 2nd at 9:00 am. 

The Gospel Project is a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study for Kids that examines how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus Christ. Over the course of three years, participants will journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still today, compelling them to join the mission of God.  

If you wish to get involved with this program in any way, but couldn't make the volunteer training, we will be re-offering it on the launch date, October 2nd at 9:00 am.  Please let us know if you can make it!  For questions or further information, please contact the church office.

MOPS/MOPPETS HELPERS NEEDED

We had a very successful fall launch of MOPS this past Tuesday, September 13th.  There were many new moms, and 38 children in attendance!  We are so encouraged by how the Lord has flourished and grown this important ministry.  In order for us to continue to offer this program, we need more investors to help in Moppets.  If you or someone you know would be willing to help out on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, please contact the church office or Christy Casale at 908.208.9684.

Our fitness instructor, Kristine, will be out of town this week.  Core Conditioning and Zumba on Monday are cancelled, and TRX on Tuesday will also be cancelled.  Classes will resume as normal on Wednesday, September 21st.

GRIEF SHARE CLASS STARTING THIS WEEK AT FAITH BAPTIST

Grief Share is a support group designed for those who have lost a loved one. Two new 13 week sessions will begin Monday, September 12th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm or 6:30-8:30 pm at Faith Baptist Church, 350 N. JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUPS

Although Mike is no longer a staff member, he will continue to oversee our Senior High Youth Group on Tuesday nights at 6:00 pm. Pastor Travis will take over Junior High Youth Group on Wednesday nights, with a changed time from 6:00—7:30 pm. Interviews are in process for filling the youth position; please pray with us that He leads and guides in the right direction.

CURTIS FAMILY DONATIONS

A huge thank you to those of you who gave to the Curtis Family, raising funds to go to Zambia, Africa.  Between the lemonade stand, donations given at the Welcome Center, and a generous donation, we were able to bless with Curtis's with a gift of $1318.71!  May He continue to bless and flourish their ministry!
