LOVE AND LOGIC PARENTING CLASS STARTING IN FEBRUARY

Love and Logic is a philosophy of raising and teaching children that allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in their interactions with children. Love allows children to grow from their mistakes; logic allows children to live with the consequences of their choices. Love and Logic puts the parents back in control, teaches children to be responsible, and prepares young people to live in the real world. Class participants will learn specific "how-to's" of successful parenting that are simple, practical, and easy to use right away.

When: Mondays 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Feb. 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th)
Where: Menekaunee Sunrise Early Learning Center (115 Hancock Street, Marinette)
For whom: Parents of ANY age children will benefit
Cost: Sessions are FREE for Marinette school district families ($10 for out of district)

Presenters are Bill and Cindy Verschay. Free childcare is also provided. Advanced reservations required by contacting Tina Pivatto at 715.735.1408 or tpivatto@marinette.k12.wi.us.

We are committed to helping you grow! One of the most effective ways to grow in your faith with God is through connecting with others and the study of God’s word. We are also offering an opportunity called Breaking Bread. By signing up, you'd be paired with two other families (or couples, or singles) and you would share a meal together at each of your homes. Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step program meeting Thursday nights at 6:30 pm (large group) & 7:30 pm (optional small group) that helps those who struggle with habits such as alcoholism, divorce, abuses of all kinds, co-dependency, domestic violence, rage, drug addiction, mental health, sexual addiction, food addictions, physical struggles or disease, death of a loved one and more. As we grow spiritually and we are freed from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits we develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and others.

SANCTITY OF LIFE SUNDAY

This coming Sunday, January 22nd is National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, marking the famous Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade which happened 40 years ago. Today, churches gather on the 3rd Sunday in January to celebrate God's gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage. Join us as we gather for a rally outside the Menominee Courthouse at 1:00 pm. There will be a pro-life speaker, followed by fellowship and exhibits in the community room.

NIGHT OF WORSHIP ON WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18TH

CREATOR'S HANDS

If you have crafty skills that you would like to use as an outreach to our local community or don't have any but would like to learn, Creator’s Hands would love for you to join them this Tuesday, January 17th from 6:00-8:00 pm in the downstairs dining room.

BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG & SANCTITY OF LIFE SUNDAY

It's that time of year again!  BAPS Baby Bottle Boomerang will kick off this Sunday, January 15th, with all funds going to help assist local women who are facing unplanned pregnancies.  To participate, simply take a baby bottle provided this Sunday, fill it with change, cash, or checks made out to BAPS, and return it to the church office by Sunday, March 12th.

Sanctity of Life Sunday will be held next Sunday, January 22nd, which serves to remember the Supreme Court Decision, Roe v. Wade, which happened in January 44 years ago.  A Sanctity of Life Rally will be held in front of the Menominee courthouse at 1:00 pm with a speaker, followed by fellowship, exhibits, and refreshments in the community room.  The event is also sponsored by Bay Area Pregnancy Services.  

FITNESS CLASS SCHEDULE CHANGES

Kristine's Monday and Tuesday classes will be cancelled this week and moved to Thursday, January 19th (TRX at 4:00 pm, and Zumba at 5:00 pm).

SPIRITUAL GIFTS CLASS

Discover your spiritual gifts, personal style, and God-given passion for serving in the body of Christ. This 6 week course will teach the biblical nature and purpose of the church, and the importance of each members contribution. Cost $10. Two offered. Sunday's at 9am (starting Jan 15). Wednesday's at 6pm (starting Jan 11). To sign up, use the insert in this Sunday's bulletin or contact the church office at office@nshorechurch.org.

FITNESS OPPORTUNITIES AT NSC

North Shore has partnered with fitness instructor Kristine Aretz to bring a variety of workout classes to NSC each week. Her weekly schedule includes:

Mondays: Core Conditioning Class (4:00 pm), Zumba (5:00 pm)
Tuesdays: TRX Strength Training (4:30 pm)
Wednesdays: Zumba (8:30 am)
Saturdays: FREE Zumba (8:30 am)

We invite you to come try out one of these fun classes, so they can continue to be offered!  For further information on the classes, please take a handout from the information table, or contact Kristine at 814-397-4769.
