ROOTS & GOSPEL PROJECT KIDS MINISTRIES LAUNCH ON SEPTEMBER 10TH
North Shore's children's Sunday School, "The Gospel Project" and children's church, "Roots" will launch on Sunday, September 10th!
The Gospel Project® is a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study for Kids that examines how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus Christ. Over the course of three years, participants will journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still today, compelling them to join the mission of God. Kids, ages 4k-5th grade, come join us for this fantastic program on Sunday mornings at 9 am downstairs!
Roots will take place during the service from 10:15-11:15 am (children will be dismissed after worship). It is geared for 4-6 year olds and will use the curriculum from the Gospel Project!
If you have any interest in helping with these wonderful programs, we'd love to have you! Contact Bethany Salzman at 715.551.1156 or Kayla Furton at 715.579.2293 for more information!
LOCAL HURRICANE HARVEY RELIEF EFFORTS
Information from our friends at Faith Baptist:
Westy's Trucking from Oconto, is setting up a semi truck to go down to Texas, free of charge! They need to fill the truck with donations! This would be a wonderful opportunity for the community to contribute to the relief effort if they want to do something other than donate money. The Peshtigo Corral is accepting items for the truck. Please see the information below.
Here is an update from Dockside on items needed. They cannot accept used items! Please read below for a list of what they are collecting...
Good morning everyone,
We have a few drop off locations and specifics for those of you who wish to donate to our food & supply drive for the Hurricane Harvey victims:
There is a semi trailer parked at Westys Trucking on 22 (2967 Hwy 22) just outside of Oconto. Drop off times there are Monday thru Friday from 8-4. The trailer will be parked at the Dockside Restaurant over the weekend, where we will also be accepting items throughout the week - for those of you from the Peshtigo/ Marinette area, our friend Angie Pecor is accepting items at the Peshtigo Corral.
The items that are most needed at this time are:
Bottled water, cleaning supplies and non-perishable food items (canned goods, etc)
If you plan to donate clothing PLEASE limit to new items like socks, towels, etc. either packaged or with tags, as used items can not be used....batteries are also recommended and needed.
Thank you everyone for the enormous response, it's truly been overwhelming to see the kind and giving nature of people when others are in a time of need.

HELPING THE DEMIENS MOVE
Kent and Judy Demien found a renter for their house in Menominee, but that means they need to get all of their stuff out of their house in Menominee and up to their new house in Fence, WI. They would really appreciate as much help as they can get this Saturday, August 26th at 9AM. If people would be willing to help load a U-Haul and take the trip up to Fence to help unload the U-Haul, that would be greatly appreciated. Simply helping load it is also greatly appreciated. If you help unload, you and your family (spouse, kids, etc) are welcome to stay for awhile and swim in the lake by their new place. Food will be provided for all the amazing helpers! Please let the Demiens or Salzmans know if you can help them, so they know how many to plan on! Bethany's cell number is 715.551.1156.
