The next NSC Membership Class will be offered on Sunday, November 4th and 11th from 2:00-4:00 pm. This is a 2-part course, with both weeks required.  If you are interested in attending, please sign up at the Welcome Center.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

Celebrate Recovery is a 12 step program meeting Thursday nights at 6:30 pm (large group) & 7:30 pm (optional small group) that helps those who struggle with habits such as alcoholism, divorce, abuses of all kinds, co-dependency, domestic violence, rage, drug addiction, mental health, sexual addiction, food addictions, physical struggles or disease, death of a loved one and more. As we grow spiritually and we are freed from our hurts, hang-ups, and habits we develop a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ and others.

USING YOUR BANK'S 'BILL PAY' FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

After using Vanco on-line services for processing contributions from members to the church for the last several years, the Finance Team has decided to end the service effective October 31, 2018. The monthly service fee and the cost per transaction make it an expensive option for the Church to receive contributions versus people using their own bank’s “Bill Pay” functionality. For most banks, Bill Pay is a free service to you and to North Shore. It can be set up with little time or effort. Please consider using “Bill Pay” or other functionalities you may have available through your financial institution.

MOM'S RALLY ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23RD

Moms, are you looking for a place to connect and grow? Come join us for our moms group, Mom's Rally, this coming Tuesday, October 23rd from 9:00-11:00 am.  A great children's program is provided! GIDEON VISIT THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14TH

This Sunday, October 14th, Jim Lloyd with the Gideons will be here to share with us what's happening with their ministry in our local communities.  He will share during the service (Sunday School remains the same).  The Missions Care Team will be providing refreshments and light snacks after the service for a chance to further connect with him.  We hope you can join us!

MEN'S FALL RETREAT OCTOBER 19TH-21ST

BENEVOLENT OFFERING THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7TH

This Sunday, there will be a benevolent offering to help those in our community and within our church body with extra financial burden.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT PRAYER

Come join us on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm as we learn and pray together. Pastor Duncan teaches from Scripture followed by a time of praying together using a prayer list. It is limited to an hour. If you have wanted to develop your prayer life and/or you want to see God move here in powerful ways here at North Shore, please come and pray!

MOM'S RALLY MAKE AND TAKE FREEZER MEAL WORKSHOP ON OCTOBER 9TH

Ladies, come join us for Mom's Rally Make and Take Freezer Meal Workshop on Tuesday, October 9th!  It will be offered at both the normal Rally time (9-11 am) and from 6-8 pm.  The first meal will be free, with a $5 fee for the optional second meal.  For questions about this event, contact Rebbecca Peanosky at 815.980.0917.  You can sign up by contacting the church office or by filling out the insert in this Sunday's bulletin.

'CRAFTING TOGETHER' DRYER BALL WORKSHOP THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5TH

"Crafting Together" meets the first Friday of the month in the downstairs dining room.  October's gathering will feature the fun activity of making dryer balls.

A $5 fee will cover the cost of the wool to make 3 dryer balls.  Instructions will be given on how to make the balls and felt them.  Everyone will be able to wind the balls during the class and bring them home to felt (shrink the wool to make a solid ball).

To help prepare supplies, please register by contacting Diane Nelson.  This is a great opportunity to invite a friend and enjoy a girls night out.
