CREATOR'S HANDS OCTOBER NEWSLETTER

Creator’s Hands

Creator’s Hands is dedicated to letting our light shine for Jesus as we use our God given crafting skills to knit, crochet, quilt to make handcrafted items, such as blankets, baby items, prayer shawls, etc for the purpose of fulfilling the needs of the community. We are dedicated toward making crafted items to give to others as an expression of God’s love! We hope that you can join us at our next meeting. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 6-8pm but the doors will be opened at 5:30pm in the Fireside room. Anyone wishing to pray with MOMS IN PRAYER is invited to come to the library from 5:30 to 6pm.

God, My Peace. “I praise You with all my heart, Lord, because You are my Peace.”

Creator Hands Updates:
There was good conversation with a woman who gave us an update on the Abundant Life Homeless Shelter. We were challenged as we heard how Pastor Pennell works tirelessly to provide shelter for the homeless and shares the Gospel with them. We will continue to pray for this ministry and help where we can with our handmade items.

Everyone has been busy with their hands and sewing machine. Micki turned in 14 mug rugs, 2 quilted lap blankets for hospice, and 3 pillows. Her quilting skills are amazing!

Marcia finished the prayer shawl which turned out to be soft and comforting. Judy completed a bib for the nursery and sewed on the satin blanket binding for a security blanket. Sharon was working hard on a pair of mittens. Mary Jean prepared about 7 security blankets for the hospital. She does a fantastic job of presenting them with a ribbon and a card attached. Diane cut out several security blankets that Judy brought home to finish the edging. It was a very productive night!

Not only were we productive, but Barb has been knitting and sewing like crazy at home. She shared with Diane that she made 20 pairs of mittens (last count) and 27 catheter bags which she gave to Jenny Fendryk for Rennes. The staff and patients are very thankful for all the items we have given them. She is now starting to work on oxygen bags.

Our newest member, Elaine, turned in 19 beautiful hats to distribute as we see a need. Even though Elaine will seldom be able to make it to the meetings, she is busy and thankful for the opportunity to bless others with the hats she makes. We appreciate all her hard work.

Diane has an amazing story of how God provided an embroidery machine that is awesome! It is more that what she ever dreamed she would own. God truly is a generous God! Hopefully, she will know how to embroider on it by Tuesday!!!!

We are so thankful that God is using our talents to bless others and be a light in this dark world that needs a Savior or encouragement. Let’s continue to knit, crochet, and sew on for HIM!
