"CREATOR'S HANDS" DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

"Creator’s Hands" December Newsletter

Creator’s Hands is dedicated to letting our light shine for Jesus as we use our God given crafting skills to knit, crochet, quilt to make handcrafted items, such as blankets, baby items, prayer shawls, etc for the purpose of fulfilling the needs of the community. We are dedicated toward making crafted items to give to others as an expression of God’s love! We hope that you can join us at our next meeting. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 6-8pm but the doors will be opened at 5:30 in the Fireside room. Anyone wishing to pray with MOMS IN PRAYER is invited to come to the library from 5:30 to 6.

Creator’s Hands #22
December 16, 2014

A Forgiving God. “I want to praise You, Father, because you are a forgiving God, gracious and compassion, slow to anger and abounding in love” (Neh. 9:17).

Judy was busy packaging part of the 38 burp cloths that Barb had turned in last week. Diane delivered 27 to BAMC for the newborn babies born in Menominee and Marinette. We were limited to how many we could give because we ran out of MOPS cards. More cards have been ordered so when the hospital runs low we can deliver some more.

We will also be getting new tags for the hospital gifts. Pastor Travis is going to order them and also include the logo forNorth Shore Church. It will be exciting to see them!

Wendy came by before Creator’s Hands started and dropped off a very cozy, soft security blanket. She is now working on the hat and socks to match the baby sweater she had turned in earlier. We are anxious to see the set completed and the special baby who will receive it. God already knows who will be blessed to get it!!!

Joe Wells delivered 9 pillows and 25 catheter bags that Barb had made to the Luther home. WOW!!!

Diane worked on the embroidery machine to sew several designs on the security blankets. The first hour was trying to figure out how to download the new designs she purchased. Unfortunately, she is still trying to figure it out!!

Marcia made a beautiful, yellow security blanket and Elaine turned in more hats. Our supply of blankets, burp cloths, and hats need to be wrapped and tagged for distribution. We want to provide Abundant Life Mission some of there items before Christmas.

Praise God for all the workers and supplies that we have to make this all possible,

We are happy to hear, Mary Jean, has found a job and will be moving soon into her own apartment. Let’s come up with some ways we can support her.

The welcome center is low on mug rugs which is a very good thing. Micki will try to make some but she has been very busy helping her parents so anyone with some sewing skills who could help out would be appreciated.

The children from Sunrise Learning Center sent us thank you notes for the mittens. All the cards are precious. According to their pictures, they like striped mittens best.

Agenda for December 16
