Creator’s Hands February Newsletter

Creator’s Hands is dedicated to letting our light shine for Jesus as we use our God given crafting skills to knit, crochet, quilt to make handcrafted items, such as blankets, baby items, prayer shawls, etc for the purpose of fulfilling the needs of the community. We are dedicated toward making crafted items to give to others as an expression of God’s love! We hope that you can join us at our next meeting. 

We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 6:00-8:00 pm but the doors will be opened at 5:30 in the Fireside room. Anyone wishing to pray with MOMS IN PRAYER is invited to come to the library from 5:30-6:00 pm.

The Lifter of My Hand. “Father God, I praise You because You are a shield around me, O Lord; You bestow glory on me and lift up my head when I am weary or despised” (Ps. 3:3).

We welcomed Ruth Steppke to her first Creator’s Hands meeting. Her sister is interested in starting a craft ministry in her community. Ruth went home with several newsletters, labels, and enthusiasm to share with her sister. It is exciting to give “birth” to another group!

Mary Jean and Ruth were very busy preparing the burp cloths for BAMC. Diane delivered 26 burp cloths to the hospital for February. They have a plentiful supply right now.

Terri spent the night cutting out burp cloths and Judy took them home to complete. Terri also is interesting to crocheting around blankets after Diane puts the holes in it for her.

We are thankful we have another hand to help with blankets.

It was a nice surprise to find 6 completed mug rugs and a beautiful lap quilt which Micki had made and dropped them off. Judy sewed labels on them and the mug rugs went to the hospitality center. Diane gave Micki six more mug rugs to complete so the welcome center will be well stocked for a while.

Diane ordered 2000 labels. Last year when we ordered 1000 labels we thought that was way more than what we would use in a year! We stand AMAZED at what God has done using our talents that HE has given us!

Sharon requested a gift for a friend who is going through chemotherapy and radiation for lung cancer.. We appreciated all the mittens she has donated to Creator’s Hand. Please remember to pray for her. I will be delivering her the prayer shawl that Marcia knit soon.
