CREATOR'S HANDS MARCH 2015 NEWSLETTER

Creator’s Hands March 2015 Newsletter

Creator’s Hands is dedicated to letting our light shine for Jesus as we use our God given crafting skills to knit, crochet, quilt to make handcrafted items, such as blankets, baby items, prayer shawls, etc for the purpose of fulfilling the needs of the community. We are dedicated toward making crafted items to give to others as an expression of God’s love! We hope that you can join us at our next meeting. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 6-8pm but the doors will be opened at 5:30 in the Fireside room. Anyone wishing to pray with MOMS IN PRAYER is invited to come to the library from 5:30 to 6.

God of Light. “I praise You, Lord, because You are my light and my salvation (Ps.27:1) and because You know what lies in darkness, and light dwells with You (Dan2:22).

Judy and Diane enjoyed their time together as they worked on projects. Judy had turned in 21 burp cloths and Diane turned in 6 the previous meeting so Judy prepared them for BAMC by wrapping them with a ribbon and including a card from Creator’s Hands and MOPS. Diane continued to cut fleece and prep it with holes for Terry to crochet around them. Terry has turned in around 9 security blankets and two large baby blankets.
She is doing a great job!

We were able to give 30 burp cloths and 6 newborn hats to BAMC for March. Praise the Lord! When Barb returns (hopefully, soon!) she will turn in 150 burp cloths!!! That is quite a stash!!!

It was good to see Sharon back from Alabama. We look forward to hearing about her activities with her quilting guild. She always has some good ideas for Creator’s Hands.

Donations keep pouring in. Carrie Grinsteiner donated a large bag of scrap material for quilts and t-shirts. Anyone have suggestions for recycling t-shirts?

Micki turned in 5 mug rugs with a colorful spring backing! Stacy is going to be using all of them in a mug for the 12 firemen who recently did a fire/safety check. It is awesome to see how God is using this ministry to be a blessing and a witness in our community.

Our missionary with Navigators in Wisconsin, Jeff Clochesy, was our guest speaker Sunday. Pastor Travis presented him with a Packer blanket that had a compass and North Shore Church monogrammed on it. It is our goal to give an item to each missionary NSC supports when they visit us.

Diane was blessed with a granddaughter, Penelope (Penny) Ann Thompson, 9lbs 3ozs, on March 10. Thankful parents are Amanda and Eric. God is soooo good!!!!
